First – In compiling a year’s worth of pictures and videos of a 2-year-old, it’s shocking how much nudity there is.  Honestly, rating this “appropriate for all audiences,” is a bit of a stretch considering the amount of full frontal that was left on the editing room floor.

Second – Lindsay knows how I cringe when I hear parents say things like “where’s the pause button,” and “time is going too quickly,” but there is a certain nostalgic amnesia that overtakes a dad when he pours over a full year worth of pictures of his kid to make a video that the kid won’t appreciate for the next 30 years or so.  As much as I joked and complained…I really liked Jake as a 2-year-old.  Do I want time to slow down?  No.  Do I want time to speed up?  Not really.  Am I glad that I got to spend the last year with this little jerk?  Absolutely.

Jake has made me not just a better father, but a better person, in the way only a first child can.  I’m incredibly lucky that God had the foresight to put him in my life!
